Materials & Functionality

Besides the quality of the materials used, the construction is crucial for maximum feline fun.

A few points should be considered so that your cat can properly use and enjoy their climbing-scratching post.

For cat entertainment

Checklist

Distance between trunk & wall

Does your cat have enough space to climb around the trunk?

Length of the trunk

Is the post long enough to climb? Can your cat stretch while scratching?

Construction of the stem

Are there exposed cut edges of the sisal material where it can quickly fray? Is unstable cardboard used?

Position of the trunk

Is the scratching post placed at the edge of the platform so your cat can easily climb onto it?

Edition on the plateau

Does the material provide enough grip for your cat's claws to climb onto the plateau?

Generous spacing for maximum climbing fun

The greater the distance, the more varied your cat's movements and exercise can be.

This allows cats to integrate the pole into their shared play - chasing each other and taking cover behind it.

INTERACTIVE PLAY PARADISE FOR PLENTY OF VARIETY IN YOUR CAT'S DAILY LIFE

Long logs for an extra long climbing adventure

The longer the post, the more climbing length your cat will have.

The post should be at least long enough for your cat to stretch and extend while scratching and climbing to loosen bones and muscles.

Position of the Trunk

The post should be positioned so that your cat can climb onto the platform effortlessly.

If the post is positioned in the middle, your cat will have difficulty climbing onto the platform. Your cat will have a lot of room to move when climbing around a corner.

Cushion on the Plateau

The cover on the platform should provide a firm grip when climbing onto the platform. The material's texture should give cats' claws the necessary grip and be thick enough for cats to dig their claws into. Cats pull themselves onto the platform using the cover, so the material should be robust & tear-resistant.

Climbing and scratching posts provide important balance and promote motor skills, coordination, and dexterity, especially in the daily lives of indoor cats.
