Assembly

We recommend assembly with 2 people.

The wall bracket is fastened to the wall with 4 screws, and the platform with 3 screws (platform width 35cm) or 4 screws (platform width 50cm). The climbing scratching post is firmly connected to the wall bracket and platform with two threaded screws.

For assembly, you only need a drill, a screwdriver, a spirit level, and a ladder.

We supply you with rawlplugs, screws, an Allen key, assembly instructions, and drilling templates.

The assembly kit includes rawlplugs and screws suitable for solid/load-bearing walls made of concrete and solid brick.

Please ensure that the wall intended for mounting is sufficiently stable to bear the weight.

Safe descent aids for your climbing scratching post

Going up is usually not a problem for cats - going down is often the bigger challenge. That's why we recommend offering your cat descent aids.

Several intermediate levels are ideal, allowing your cat a safe and relaxed way down.

You can easily integrate existing furniture - for example, shelves, chests of drawers - make sure there are non-slip landing spots - sofa, armchairs, stools or our jumping posts.

To increase the longevity of the logs, our logs are made of solid wood instead of cardboard tubes. We have also developed a log system that avoids exposed joints in the carpet, where it frays quickly.

The deliberate omission of intermediate levels creates a clear, unobstructed climbing surface, and thanks to the generous distance of 24cm from the wall, your cat can use the entire post.

Your cat can climb around the post or simply hang stretched out and stretch. Through movement on the post, your cat can stay fit and train her muscles. She can live out her natural behavior, dart up a 'tree trunk' and keep an overview from an elevated position.

Platform - maximum comfort for your cat

A felt mat on the platform ensures a firm grip when climbing onto the platform, is soft & comfortable when sitting, and cozy for the cat's belly when lying down.

It also enhances the elegant appearance. We use wool felt made of 100% pure virgin wool – at 5 mm thick, it is particularly dense. The raw material felt is characterized by many positive properties. It is heat and cold insulating, breathable, dirt-repellent, and dimensionally stable.

The wall part of the platform protects the wall from discoloration. Your cat can lounge & tumble on the platform without you having to worry about dirt on the wall.

All mounting holes are placed so that you have enough space when tightening by hand or with a cordless drill & don't accidentally scratch the surfaces.

The Climbing Scratcher was specifically designed for maximum stability and long-term use - ideal for active cats.

Thanks to the double wall mounting, everything is firmly attached to the wall, without wobbling or giving way – even when your cat really goes for it.

The post is made of solid hardwood(no cardboard tube) and is complemented by the sturdy construction of birch plywood. This combination ensures high load capacity and a long lifespan.

Can the sisal post be replaced?

Yes, all elements can be reordered individually. This allows you to modify the climbing scratching post if you want to try a new version or if your home situation has changed.

What if my cat doesn't use the scratching post?

Honestly: Most cats figure out pretty quickly what to do.

However, if your cat is initially skeptical, that's completely normal - new things are often observed cautiously at first.

With a few simple tricks, you can easily introduce them to it:

Allow them to discover playfully
Move a toy along the trunk or upwards – this way, your cat quickly realizes how well they can climb and scratch on it

Arouse curiosity
Let the toy "disappear" behind the trunk or appear on top of the platform

Combine movement
First play through the room, then direct them to the scratching post – this way, your cat directly associates it with fun

Small rewards help
A treat on the platform often works wonders

Important: also consider the descent
Offer your cat easy ways to descend (e.g., additional elements, nearby furniture, or jumping platforms) – if the way back feels safe, the scratching post will be accepted much more quickly

Usually, it doesn't take long for "What is that?" to become a new favorite spot.
