Tips for the Mounting Location

Choose a room where your cat spends a lot of time. If your cat already has other scratching furniture, choose a room where there isn't already a scratching option.

A good place for the scratching board is a spot where your cat frequently passes by, for example, near sleeping or feeding areas.

If your cat likes to scratch furniture, place it near that furniture. If your cat sharpens its claws in a specific spot on a wall, it is recommended to hang the board there.

Suitable Mounting Height

Luxurious stretching and claw care promote well-being and relaxation

The height of the scratching board varies from cat to cat and depends on size, age, and mobility. For your cat to fully engage in its "paw-icure", the scratching board should be mounted at a sufficient height. The height of the scratching board should allow your cat to stretch out completely without its paws extending over the top edge.

By being able to stretch and extend, your cat can also loosen its bones and muscles.

If you want to extend your scratching board by one/two/... additional scratching surface/s, you will need:

• a scratching board

and additionally

• one/two/... individual scratching surface/s
• one/two/... connecting element/s

Claw Care & Scent Marking

Your cat sharpens its claws to keep them in shape and control their length - when sharpening, they are cleaned and sharpened. Worn-out claw sheaths are shed. However, when sharpening its claws, your cat also leaves messages such as Attention! I am here! Scent substances are released through the paw pads during scratching. In nature, vertical objects, such as tree trunks, are often used for scent marking. Cats stretch as far as possible to leave their marks high above other markings. By scratching on a scratching board, they can leave their scent and mark their territory. This helps to create a sense of security and personal space. Outdoor cats also need scratching opportunities within their living spaces so that they can mark their home territory and have a way to groom their claws even if they prefer to stay at home in bad weather, for example.

For mounting, you only need a drill, a screwdriver & a spirit level.

We supply the dowels & screws.

The mounting set includes dowels and screws suitable for solid/load-bearing walls made of concrete and solid brick.

We pack and cushion with paper and cardboard - we don't use plastic in our boxes. Speaking of boxes - to ensure your cat furniture arrives safely, we use extra sturdy and secure cardboard packaging.

We ship with DPD.

We recommend choosing the free additional service DPD Predict - then you will be actively kept informed about the status of your shipment by DPD.
